NGHS is open to girls from any secondary school and is not restricted by area of residence. We welcome new pupils into Year 12 on the basis of their academic attainment in GCSE or equivalent examinations and the availability and suitability of courses offered by the school. Those seeking admission to the Sixth Form should visit this page to complete an electronic application. 

The entry criterion is as follows:

• Mathematics and English Language (Grade 5+)*
• At least a Grade 6 in the subjects you wish to study for A-level (Grade 7 is strongly advised for Mathematics, Biology, Chemistry and Physics).
• A further three GCSEs at Grade 6 or above.

If you are studying BTEC courses, these should be at least at Merit standard and each BTEC course replaces one GCSE (even if it is a double or triple award).

*Any change to these conditions of entry can only be negotiated with the Headteacher, but the school will consider student's individual circumstances if appropriate.
