Ellisha
Head Girl
It is a privilege to be chosen to be the next Head Girl at NGHS as my time here so far has been amazing and I am honoured to be an ambassador for students here. I joined Year 12 in 2023 and am currently studying English Literature, Economics and Geography. My role as Head Girl means I will be passionately addressing the concerns of both the student and staff voice, as well as ensuring the smooth integration and inclusion of new students to ensure everybody that joins has the same amazing experience as I did.
Aimee
Deputy Head Girl
(Participation & Inclusion)
Hi! I’m Aimee and I am your new deputy for Participation and Inclusion. I take English Literature, Geography and Biology and thoroughly enjoy each subject. I love to take part in all of the clubs that school offers, particularly netball and running, and I have done since year 7. This year I aim to have numbers of people at house events and clubs at an all-time high and I will ensure that everyone has as many opportunities as possible. I will be helping to promote all student and staff led-clubs, so be on the lookout for more information and I will also always be here to help. I look forward to working with my team and the rest of the school to make this year the best one yet!
Breanna
Deputy Head Girl
(Transition & Integration)
My name is Breanna and I joined NGHS in September 2023 to study Physics, Maths and English literature at A-level. It has been a privilege to be part of the sixth form here at Newport Girls and, due to the welcoming environment, it was extremely easy to settle in at the beginning of the academic year. As Deputy Head Girl for Transition and Integration I aim to offer support and guidance to new students to ensure they have a smooth transition when they join NGHS and to encourage them to take every opportunity. I hope to work alongside the other members of our team to ensure that everyone feels comfortable as they embark on their school journey.
