In 2024, 102 candidates sat 3 or 4 A-levels at NGHS. 77% of A-levels were graded A*-B which was the highest result in the region.

The average grade was B with an academic points score of 41.41. 

In 2024, 21% of A-level grades were A*  and 78% were graded A*-B.

Particular highlights from our 2024 A-level results include:

  • 77% of all grades awarded were A*-B and 94% were A*-C
  • 50% of Art Grades were A*
  • 84% of Maths results were A*-B and 50% of Further Maths were A* while 92% were A*/A 
  • In Physics, 58% achieved A*/A and in Biology 79% of grades were A*-B
  • In French, German and Music 100% A*-B was obtained
  • In Politics, 79% of students achieved A*-B and 100% A*-C
  • Every Physics student achieved A*-C with a third achieving A*
  • 100% of English Literature students attained A*-C
