Mr A Jones

Mr Adam Jones became Headteacher of NGHS in September 2024 following twelve successful years on the senior leadership team of another girls' grammar school. A graduate in Mathematics, Mr Jones has taught for more than twenty years in three outstanding schools including a previous stint at NGHS at the beginning of his career.
As Headteacher, Mr Jones is responsible for the strategic oversight and all that happens at NGHS and he leads a family of almost 900 students and 70 staff. His vision is to ensure academic and co-curricular success (in and outside the classroom) through high-quality teaching, outstanding results and, above all, exceptional pastoral care.
Outside of school Mr Jones is kept busy by his two young sons. He is also a keen runner, gardener and coach of his son's football team.
Miss S Webster

Miss Sophie Webster joined NGHS in September 2021 as Deputy Headteacher after a long tenure at a large multi-academy trust in Birmingham where she held a number of roles culminating in the post of Assistant Headteacher. She has recently been promoted to the post of Head of School.
As Head of School, Miss Webster's main role is to oversee the pastoral care and behaviour of students as well as leading the development of Teaching & Learning with Mr Pointon and ensuring students in all years have plenty of opportunities for Personal Development.
As a teacher of Geography and PSHE, Miss Webster looks forward to getting to know all our students in and outside the classroom. She is also an examiner for Geography with OCR and enjoys travelling and yoga.
Mrs H Birch

Mrs Hayley Birch is our Designated Safeguarding Lead across the whole school and oversees the pastoral care of students in Years 7-10. Mr O Pointon
Assistant Head
Mr Oliver Pointon joined NGHS in September 2018 as Teacher of Psychology and RE. In 2020, he was appointed to the new role of Sixth Form Achievement Coordinator, where he supported groups of students to improve their attainment and progress in Years 12-13. This role widened as a result of our Sixth Form expansion and Mr Pointon's keen eye for data earned him the role of Assistant Head during Mrs Birch's maternity leave. In this role, he focuses on leading Teaching & Learning, whole-school use of data and assessment and our House ethos.
Miss A-M Davies
Assistant Headteacher
Miss Ann-marie Davies is one of the school's longest serving colleagues and joined SLT officially in September 2018. A keen historian, Miss Davies teaches History throughout the school and specialises in the Early Modern Period at A-level.
Miss Davies has recently taken over responsibility for the school's IT Strategy and works closely with the Network Manager to ensure the school continues to embrace new technologies.
