On Friday 28th February a team of four Y8/9 students travelled to Shrewsbury Sports Village to compete against other 5 other schools for the Shropshire Schools Badminton Title.

During the day, they played at total of 15 games in a mixture of singles and doubles competition. In the first stage they played against Bishops Castle and Telford Langley and they won 9 and lost only 1 of those matches!

This put them convincingly into the final against Thomas Adams where they played 5 matches and won every single one for a 5-0 victory to claim the county championship!

Next Thursday (6th March) they will travel to the Regional Finals in Birmingham to see if they can become champions for the whole of the West Midlands!
