Newport Girls' High School is delighted to once again be in the top 10 West Midlands Schools as well as 25th in the country for GCSE and 64th in the country overall. This follows another highly successful collection of GCSE and A-level results in 2023, for example with 21% of A-levels being graded A* and 82% of GCSEs being graded 9-7 (or A*-A).
Michael Scott, Executive Headteacher, was thrilled that NGHS was once again ranked among some of the best schools in the country: These outcomes are as a result of the hard work and determination of our high-achieving pupils and their dedicated staff. We also wish to thank parents for their ongoing support of the school and for working with us to help their daughter(s) to thrive. NGHS's family approach and focus on well-being, along with academic success, has once again paid off for our students.
NGHS was given the title of West Midlands Parent Power School of the Year in 2020 and was graded outstanding by Ofsted in 2022 in all categories.
