Newport Girls' High School is extremely proud and excited to announce that we have been awarded a GOLD School Games Mark. The School Games Mark is a government led awards scheme (launched in 2012) to reward schools for their commitment to the development of competition across their school and into the community. Participating in this process allows schools to evaluate their PE provision and assists them in developing an action plan for future progress. In previous years we have received a bronze award, but, after demonstrating dedication to the School Games programme through our offer to both our students and the community, we have received a GOLD AWARD this year.

Congratulations to Miss Norton and Miss Clarke for their hard work in achieving this award and to all our sports teams who represent the school locally and nationally in a range of disciplines and competitions.
