Students achieve phenomenal results at NGHS. In December 2024, we were ranked number 1 in Shropshire and number 8 in the West Midlands for student achievement by The Sunday Times Parent Power Survey. In 2024, GCSE students achieved, on average, 0.49 of a grade of progress more than expected across every subject. At A-level over 77% of grades were A*-B.

Ofsted visited NGHS in November 2022 to conduct a full, graded inspection. We were delighted when the inspection team concluded that NGHS is an outstanding school in every judgement. You can view the report here.
This was a view shared by Ofsted in 2019 when the school underwent a monitoring visit to consider the school's curriculum, a key feature of the inspection framework.
